Hefei, (Reporter Doubao) From September 20 to 23, 2025, the World Manufacturing Convention with the theme "Intelligent Manufacturing for a Better World" was grandly held in Hefei. As a core exhibition segment, high-end CNC machine tools concentratedly demonstrated the breakthrough progress of China's CNC machining industry in the fields of intelligence, high precision, high speed, and green manufacturing. Data released at the convention shows that China's CNC machine tool market scale is expected to exceed 450 billion yuan in 2025, accounting for 30% of the global market share. Driven by both policy support and technological innovation, the industry is entering a golden period of high-quality development.

Sustained Policy Dividends: Industrial Chain Synergetic Upgrading

Since the issuance of Made in China 2025 in 2015 , China has continuously increased support for the machine tool sector . In 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the Implementation Plan for the "Machine Tool +" Production-Demand Matching Campaign for Ten Thousand Enterprises Across Hundreds of Industries, which promotes in-depth cooperation between supply and demand sides in technological breakthroughs and application iteration through a three-year production-demand matching mechanism. At the National Forum on Building a Strong Manufacturing Country held concurrently with the convention, the Report on Digital Transformation Capability of Manufacturing Industry (2025) clearly proposed that the numerical control rate of key processes should reach 75% by 2025, which will directly drive about 12 billion yuan of technological transformation investment annually. Guided by policies, the industrial cluster effect in the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta is remarkable: Guangdong, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang provinces contribute 62% of the national output value, while central and western regions are accelerating capacity expansion by leveraging the "Eastern Data and Western Computing" strategy.

Technological Innovation Breaks Bottlenecks: Four Directions Lead Transformation

Technological breakthroughs of domestic CNC equipment became the focus at the convention. In terms of intelligence, CNC machine tools  are deeply integrated with artificial intelligence and big data. Through sensors that collect real-time data such as machining temperature and vibration, fault early warning and automatic parameter optimization are realized. For example, Jugang Precision's CT1000 drilling-milling-tapping center is equipped with the independently developed CATO C80 Plus system, with a program execution speed of 500 blocks/second, supporting 16-axis control  and multi-mode data transmission. In the field of high precision, nano-level machining has become a standard configuration for high-end equipment. Through technologies such as finite element analysis and error compensation algorithms, machining accuracy has jumped from millimeters to micrometers or even nanometers, meeting the sub-micron precision requirements of complex components such as aero-engine blades.

Notable achievements have also been made in high-speed and green manufacturing. Currently, the spindle speed of high-end machining centers can reach over 60,000 r/min. Equipment such as the LK TC-510 drilling center has significantly improved production efficiency through lightweight design and high-speed drive technology. Green manufacturing runs through the entire life cycle: the establishment of dry cutting, energy-saving drive systems, and component recycling systems is promoting the industry's transition to low-carbon development. It is worth noting that the market share of domestic high-end CNC systems  is steadily increasing, and the localization rate of core components continues to rise, gradually breaking the monopoly of international brands in the high-end market.

Application Scenarios Expand Continuously: Surging Demand in Emerging Fields

With the rapid development of new energy vehicles, aerospace, 3C electronics and other industries, the application scenarios of CNC machining are constantly expanding. As the largest demand sector, the automotive industry chain accounts for 40% of the total demand. Components such as battery casings and motor rotors of new energy vehicles require micrometer-level machining accuracy, directly driving the demand for high-end equipment renewal. The aerospace sector accounts for 17% of the demand: the mass production of the domestic large aircraft C919 and the advancement of low-orbit satellite projects have spawned high-precision machining needs for complex structural parts and difficult-to-machine materials. The 3C electronics and mold industries, with demand shares of 26.8% and 13% respectively, are promoting the upgrading of precision machining equipment towards high speed and flexibility.

In the industrial robot field, enterprises such as Shenzhen Huazheng Precision use five-axis linkage machining technology  to control component machining accuracy within ±0.005 to 0.01 mm, providing customized solutions for core components such as harmonic reducers and servo motor casings. This helps customers shorten the production cycle by 40% and increase the product qualification rate to 99.6%. The medical equipment sector also performed brilliantly: the annual growth rate of demand for machining biocompatible titanium alloy parts and ceramic components reaches 18%, driving the extension of CNC technology to special material processing.
